Two Antidepressants Linked To Infection Sometimes Found In Hospitals

The relationship of mirtzapine and fluoxetine to occurrence of CDI was unexpected.

(1)  Most type of antidepressants (did or did not) affect CDI risk.

(2)  The lead author of the study said:  "One of the possible underlying reasons for the link between depression and C difficult infection comes from studies of the ________________________.

(3)  An expert quoted in the article said:  "When patients are in the hospital and going to be placed on antibiotics, and they're also on one of these depressants, their doctors should _________________.
